  • All Penalties inflicted by Ward Talismans are External Penalties to the threat the Ward is protecting from.
  • All magical effects that provide an additional Defense Value choice, such as the Terrestrial Circle Spell Virtuous Guardian of Flame or the Artifact Flying Silver Dream, instead are treated as having taken a reflexive Defend Other action on behalf of the caster.
  • Quick Draw Merit: At the first sign of danger, your character’s hand moves to the hilt of his blade or the grip of his flame piece, and the two become one. For two points, your character reduces the flurry penalty for drawing a weapon and attacking with it on the same tick by one per attack, so each attack suffers a multiple action penalty equal only to its number in the progression; i.e., the first attack suffers a -1, the second a -2 and so on.. For four points, your grace is supernatural in its fluidity. You can draw a weapon reflexively and suffer no Flurry penalty for doing so. The attack progression is as follows, first attack suffers a -0, the second a -1 and so on.
